In
February, 2002 Richard Bonilla was regional select decoy under Michele
Valladon. Richard has been a NARA member in good standing since 1997.
Prior to 1997, Richard dabbled in many sports and personal protection
trials he enjoyed and respected very much.
Then Richard found French Ring and without a doubt, it became his
passion.
He
claims it is the most challenging and rewarding sport he has ever
encountered. Richard has traveled around the country and has met with
some of the greatest trainers, competitors and trial decoys from all
around the United States, France, Mexico and Belgium.
These trainers, competitors and trial decoys have been instrumental in
Richard's training style, growth and continuing education in the world
of dog sports. In this short span of time, Richard has been directly
and indirectly responsible for training many ring sport dogs - from
brevet to ring 3.
Richard says, "Remember, Ring training involves team work to develop
excellent ring sport dogs; from the people who set up the jumps, the
people who throw the food, to the rest of your team who suit up and help
strengthen the dogs for ring."
"All in all, I love Ring Sport and believe this is the ultimate game."
